Mardi Gras 2012 is especially meaningful because this is Sister Margaret Ann Moser’s final year as President of Ursuline Academy. Sister was instrumental in inaugurating the first Mardi Gras Gala in 1991, and she has played a major role in the success of this event every year since. That was 21 years ago!
Because of her close association with Mardi Gras, Sister Margaret Ann and the Mardi Gras Committee thought that this is an appropriate time to recognize the extraordinary volunteer leaders and individuals who have played key roles in the growth of Mardi Gras and the endowed scholarship program. We honor them as the Honorary Krewe of Mardi Gras 2012. So many young women have been able to share in the Ursuline traditions and spirit thanks to their generous support of time, talent and resources.
Thank you and congratulations to the

“I want to thank you so much for the wonderful scholarship you awarded to me! I will now be able to continue my education at Ursuline. Receiving this scholarship showed me that my potential was seen through your eyes. An opportunity like this comes once in a lifetime and I am so grateful I have been the one blessed with this opportunity. My entire family is grateful to you for making it possible for us to join the Ursuline family. I promise to follow in your foot steps and strive to be of service to people in need, with all my ability now and forever!”
