The theme “Hearts of Gold” recognizes all who made Mardi Gras successful for 19 years. Young women who might not otherwise have the opportunity to receive a private school education are given the possibility of attending Ursuline Academy through the scholarship fund.

All proceeds from Mardi Gras – 100% – go directly to the Ursuline Academy Scholarship Fund. In 2009-10, the Academy will grant approximately $810,000 in financial assistance and merit awards to 159 deserving young women.

Due in large part to the success of the 2009 Auction, scholarships are awarded to qualified and deserving young women who might not otherwise be able to experience an Ursuline education.

We invite you to partner with us this year as a Mardi Gras Underwriter. Listed below you will find an outline of underwriting opportunities that are available and the corresponding donor benefits. You may pay for underwriting online or download our mail-in form using the link above.

In an effort to fund the cost of hosting a gala of this quality and size, we are offering Corporate Sponsorships. In exchange for your generosity, we are offering opportunities to promote your business or corporation. We are preparing magnificent signage based on our professional logo design that will be strategically placed the night of the event. You will also receive a full-page ad in the program. With approximately 1,000 guests at the event and over 800 families enrolled in Ursuline Academy, our goal is for you to have as much exposure in the community as possible. We hope you will join us in this underwriting effort!

Gifts play a major role in the success of the Mardi Gras Ball. Your donations are the most important source of quality items for the auction. Any and all donations are appreciated, and participation on every level is encouraged.

You may also purchase a gift from the gift registry at Target, Macy's or Williams-Sonoma (first and last names of both bride and groom are listed as "Ursuline").

If you wish to donate a gift, download our Donor Contract. We will gladly arrange to pick up any items or gift certificates that you contribute. To ensure inclusion in the Mardi Gras Ball Program, please fill out and return your Donor Contract by January 26, 2010.

All underwriting and gifts will be acknowledged in the Mardi Gras Ball Program the night of the Ball.
